Hi all,
I am shopping for motors. After reading this article , I was led to this Aliexpress listing. I am looking at the 500W 48V configuration with the simple VLCD06 display. The price appears to be really good? Is the 500W motor sufficient? We don't want crazy fast bikes... just some PAS especially on hills. We will be converting cruiser style bikes and riding 15-20 miles max .

I believe you will find that sufficient, the torque is pretty good on a mid-drive. Just make sure the controller will allow you to get full assist( been through that with too many bikes- even 250 watts is a great help if the controller doesn't shut off. Thanks, Ducky, I am happy to find Tongshen supplier again,I am assuming that is the reason Eunorau doesn't list these units anymore, I had a trike for a short while that had Tongshen assist and it would pull Me up steep( very steep driveway) as long as I pedaled just fine. My Mantra on this whole thing is,I would like a little assist, not a cheap motorcycle.
