He rode to see his daughter yesterday...I haven't seen him today but haven't spent much time in the forums today, either.

I never leave the Forums...
Will you let me have a nap sometimes? :) Just by chance, I fell asleep unusually early as for me last evening.

The war is waged in Ukraine, our south-eastern neighbour of the area twice of Poland and with the population slightly bigger than of Poland. Of course, I am worried as hell but nothing is in my hands. I sympathise with the Ukrainian nation totally.

Currently, the war has affected Poland with some panic at gasoline stations. Fortunately for me, I ride e-bikes. Hopefully, the situation wouldn't turn worse.

Some more explanation:

There are many Ukrainian people working in Poland, and the country and nation are close to our hearts (despite of some little misunderstanding both nations used to have long time ago). For one, my Polish Mum was born and raised in what is called Western Ukraine nowadays, near to the Romanian border. No doubt we Polish are and will be helping our Ukrainian brethren.

I actually visited my daughter on both Thursday and Friday. She's fine!

I have decided to try to go all e-bike as much as I can, to "Stick It To The Man". Whether it does or not, I can't say. Getting to orchestra tomorrow may break my pledge but I don't want to ride at night for safety reasons. I also will have to haul my Gazelle eventually, to get the rear brake working properly.

Anyway, that's my plan to help.

Stefan, did you get the new chainring on? How do you like it?
The 42T is fine for me on Vado 5.0. It still allows me doing some climbs in the area, and the acceleration is excellent. Regarding the top speed (which I could achieve with strong tailwind), I needed to spin at a pretty high cadence and was missing some chainring teeth more but still could hit 43.8 km/h. The latter was impossible for me with the 38T chainring.

I would say 44T would be ideal for me riding in the flats/pavement but I won't change anything because I need some lower gearing for mild off-road!
