ST2 Software Update. Battery behavior changes

Noticed some differences on the way the battery responds after the last update, and wanted to share my impression on the impacts, and see if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

First some background, I've had my ST2 for about 6 months, and it takes about a full battery charge to get to work and back (depending on how fast I want to ride ). So sometimes the battery will go to 0% if I overindulge. When I first completed the update, my battery life went from 48% before the update to 58% immediately after the update.

Even though the battery seemed to have more capacity after the update, the way the battery works is now different.

Before the update, when I rode my bike to 0, there was a big drop out of the assist when the battery went to 0%. But I didn't notice a large difference in the assist during the last 10%.

After the update, I noticed the assist weakened as the battery got near the 10% level. And significantly reduced as the battery neared empty, in fact hard to tell if there was an assist at times. In addition, the levels had no impact (i..e the assist feels the same on 1 as it does on 3).

Since the update I have ridden through 2 full battery depletion cycles on the way to work and back. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

I expect it's the way of current ebike tech to protect the battery, my BH Easy Motion cuts top assist at 20% battery remaining. I've not dropped below 15% with my new bike, but I expect levels of available assist would drop further before the battery went to zero.

I have noticed after the update, that when the battery on the ST2 gets to a certain point (what percentage Im not sure), it will no longer be in level 3 assist regardless of what the Omni says. I noticed in around the 20% range.
