Specialized Como battery terminal caps

I have a new Specialized Como 4. I take the battery out to transport my bike. I'm looking for something to protect the battery plugs on the bike from rain and road dirt and from when I wash it. What do people use for that? Thanks

I would use a piece of foam cut to fit . Maybe with some velcro. It’s a small diy project. Some ebike companies do make a cover just for that. Check with S.

I wanted to carry the battery for the Magnum Premium High-step separate from the bicycle itself and purchased a small case to hold the battery and its charger (see post). When the battery is removed, the terminals for the battery are pretty exposed and, as it turns out, there is a substantial charge between the exposed positive and negative posts- probably due to the charge on a capacitor in the controller. I measure 45.4 volts remaining potential after a 8 hours of so with the battery and the controller turned off. So if you carry the bike without the battery installed or if you like to ride the
bike as a conventional bicycle, these terminals are exposed to damage and to being shorted if they come in contact with a metal object. I made the simple terminal cover from some waste plastic materials that were in the shop. The three layers are glued together. The drawing attached shows the design and the photos show the terminals with and without this cover. To keep the cover in place while transporting or riding the bike without the battery, I'm using piece of shock-cord with a toggle as shown.

If it's a bosch battery there are rubber plugs specifically designed for using whilst in transit. I asked our LBS this specific question and was told R&M supply you with two when the bikes ship. We haven't received them yet (the bikes) but i have seen them used on a bike that was brought in.

I don't own a Como 4 but from the pic posted by DIY-Guy, you might find a cap that would fit from Mocap:

If you find one that looks like it might fit, call them and they will send you a free sample.

Thanks. I will call MOCAP and if I can’t find a solution I will make a cover something like DIY-Guy. I wonder if I could just stuff a rag in there and bungee it in place? I’ll figure it out.
