Sempu torque sensor? Install advice.

BB TS?

Our local paper does this crap too. I hate it. You're forced into reading at least the first part of the article just to figure out what they're talking about....

Tom, there's plenty of interest on my part. I'd love a chance to mess with something like that, but near as I can tell the only controller able to handle that signal is Grin's, and no need to go any further on my 'druthers regarding that option. We've been there a hundred times.

ASFAIK, there are no other controllers able to do that? -Al

If/when I find out KT has support for torque sensing, I'll be all over that. As of the moment, the KT OEM controller firmware will not. The KT "open source" firmware is WAY WAY beyond anything I want to attempt. I have the background, but it's OLD now. Not interested in what it would take to come back up to speed. -Al

Eeyup. But there's much more to the story. Dig around or not...
I STFU while doing support for Doug, but I'm done and no longer muzzled.
My days are now crazy quiet. very few calls except for a few old fellas that have been my customers since 2016.
You can get as mad as you think appropriate, but without the back story (if there is one?), that's a snobbish reply. Possibly, maybe not so much if you were to expand on your thoughts a bit? But IMHO, just "I'd rather fail" is being bull headed AND snobbish.

The fact you provided support (and took a lot of BS while doing that) isn't always relevant. What you say NOW/from here out, should stand on it's own merit, be the product of that experience, or it's not worth saying.

I’m glad you’re not bull headed. <dripping with sarcasm> feel free to mind your own.
FWIW tomjasz my offer for help although sarcastic was genuine, I have always respected you knowledge and expertise even after you decided to personally attack me because of a legitimate issue I had with california ebike.

I have moved on, apparently your still stuck. As a top EBR poster I would expect better from you.

The offer still stands, if not fail away (if so, post your results so we as the EBR community can benefit from your experience/failures)

Useless drivel.
Unsure of context, but I do know rotating static ( dynamic ) strain gages, and you can too.
Whichever they are sempu, the SG will need repair / replacement
Why not scrounge a broken one , I read there's plenty, and a new proper SG , and fix it up Tom.
Best wishes.
