Secure Trekking components from theft - Pinlock & Pitlock

I live in Miami and bike theft is a problem. I want to secure the wheels, seat and fork. I'm looking at two systems - Pitlock and Pinlock. Has anyone used something like this system. Any problems. What did you do about the rear axles, they are proprietary to Haibike?

I pretty much only lock my bike where I can keep an eye on it, and if not take it inside

The biggest problem with these two solutions is if you lose or forget the key and need it or worse, if a thief still tries to remove it using the wrong tools that will mar or deform the locks so even the key won't work—then you're kinda screwed.
