Seat recomendations

I have a Moscow Plus and find the seat a little un-comfy.
My previous bike has a visually similar looking seat but just a bit wider in back and has been fine even on 80km+ rides.

I mainly road bike (paved and gravel) and am only experimenting with actual mountain bike trail riding, 90% of my riding will be streets and gravel. I am wondering if I should switch to a more cruiser style seat or one with some springs in the seat? I am a bigger guy 250lb but do actually pedal the bike and don't rely on the assist all the time, 40km+ road rides are pretty common for me. Occasional 80km+ gravel trail rides too but pure mountain biking offroad stuff is something I am just getting into.

Never bought a seat before, I've pretty much always been happy with what ever came on the bike until this one

It's pretty hard to recommend a comfortable seat, as everyone butt is different and what I find comfortable you may not. Also, a seat that is comfortable on one bike may not be comfortable on another.
As an example, I have a Fabric seat on my light road bike and I really like it. Even after 70km rides my butt doesn't hurt. I thought I'd give it a try on my e-mountain/commuter bike, since it worked for well for me on my road bike.
I hated it. My butt hurt after only 30km.

One option is to go to your local bike shop (if you have one close by) and buy a seat that they recommend. Most bike shops will exchange the seat if you don't find in comfortable. That way you don't lose the purchase of the seat if you find it uncomfortable.

Like many on this forum I have a drawer full of bike seats that I didn't find comfortable.

Take a look at the Selle Royal Gel 'Freetime'. Also look at the BikeSmart 'Poshterior.' I think these will fit your descriptions of your needs.
