Anyone have the scoop on this company?

They are advertising all over Craigslist (red flag) for their “Pegasus 1” which appears to be a rebranded Jump ebike: https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bid/d/cambridge-wholesale-or-distribution/7247871958.html

Hard to tell if they’re legit or just another internet scam.

Hey Osric,

Zane here from Scoot Depot. To answer first, yes we're legit and not just another internet scam. The two partners who started our business have several years of experience in reverse logistics working with OEM, EV, and rideshare companies. They saw how these bikes were essentially tossed away once the rideshare companies considered them "end-of-life". We used our experience working with other products to completely refurbish these and make them ready to be used again by ordinary customers. New batteries, new control units, cleaning up the bikes as much as we can cosmetically, etc. I will be honest that our business is still in its infancy which is why we post to sites like Craigslist in order to get distributors who can handle the volume and who have the customer base to get these bikes to.

Love to hear any feedback or advice that you or anyone else on here might have from their experiences with e-bikes. It'll be a big help to us going forward!

Thanks!

Interesting, I always wondered why they just trash and dump so many perfectly fine ebikes for sharing companies when they go belly up/want to upgrade to a new fleet/whatever the reason may be.

Those pictures of the landfills topped up with bikes to the sky always made my kinda angry but seeing this second chance at life for ebikes makes me happy.
