Reflective Materials On Bicycle Helmet

Yes I use reflective tape on my helmet. My helmet also has a rechargeable red light on the back of it.
It's cold were I live now so I'm riding with a parka jacket. The tape sticks to the jacket material too.
I cut two large circles with an x-acto circle cutter and stuck them to the left and right shoulder area of the jackets sleeves.

If anybody here has any URLs for purchasing such reflective materials, please feel free to share here.

Regarding colors, perhaps red on the rear of the helmet, yellow on the sides and white on the front.

I have a whole color pack of reflective decals. I'll post the brand when I get home. I use them on my motorcycle and ebike helmets. This brand (forget the name) will not stick to a matte surface, shiny is best.

That sounds good. I am still looking.

I'm a big believer in visibility lights* on helmets. It has a humanizing effect when you see them in person, compared to lights on the bicycle itself. Not sure reflectors would be visible enough in daylight.

*headlights on helmets are annoying to other road users!

no but they have prismatic vinyl that works well for that I used to use it on the blades of my rc helicopter.

I picked up some Lightweights Safety Tape at REI, it's really quite nice - multiple colors, extremely reflective. I don't know that putting any reflective tape on the helmet is going to help (I do anyway), so I also have the Planet Bike amber Blinky Buttons on both sides of my helmet.

I've heard many folks say that something reflective in motion is a huge help, so I have those velcro reflective safety bands around my ankles, sometimes also around my wrists for signaling.

Agree. Nothing grabs attention like motion — especially unsteady motion.

Amazon sells inexpensive reflective slap bands with built-in LED lights in high-vis orange and lime. Had my wife ride by at night with her ankle band lights on and off and with and without pedaling. Unsurprisingly, the added light motion due to pedaling was a huge boost to visibilty, and the same would surely be true of signaling.

The beauty of lighted bands is that visibility is much less dependent on the orientation of the band WRT the viewer and available external lighting. Especially valuable when you also need to be visible to pedestrians in poorly lit areas like I do.

Few things to know. The reflective quality is a 9 out if 10, 10 being the best. Adhesive quality is a 5 out of 10. They will not stick to matte finished surfaces. Work great on shiny finishes.
