Okay, New to ebikes but learning daily. My XP has a 500 watt hub motor that peaks to 864 watts. What I'm thinking of doing is changing the battery from 48v 10.5 ah to 48v 17.5ah. Then I want to change out the controller to a 48v 28ah continous -33ah max. My reasoning is that this should increase my peak watts to 1344 to 1584 watts for short bursts. Heat should not be a problem because it would be used only for short steeper hills. I don't mind pedaling to assist the hub motor so I'm not relying strictly on hub power alone. Is my reasoning correct or am I overlooking something important ? Should this indeed increase my ebikes climbing ability ? All input and thoughts are appreciated. Cheers.
