When I first start out the pas will engage within one or two crank revolutions. Within about two miles it takes more time to respond
at around five to seven miles it may or may not respond at all. When this happens the throttle will work. Does it make sense that the controller is heating up or maybe be going into a failure mode? The bike is a fat tire
20-inch folding bike. 36-volt 500-watt motor. It has an 810 controller. Maybe time for HarryS's upgrade to a better controller. Any help is appreciated thanks for the time guy's

Have you checked all the connections by unplugging and re-plugging them to make sure everything is tight?
Perhaps the pass sensor is out of alignment or loose?

Hi AquassissiM. The PAS on this Ecotric is a one piece unit, with magnets/sensor together in single package, but it could be dropping out after initially working, Bad wirebond inside a chip, or whatever. Make sure connectors are all dry. Water can get into the box under the pedals.

One way to check is to try another one.

@harryS
I stand corrected did not realized that, thank you.
If moisture got into it than perhaps few squirts of ACF-50 if you have it, if not than few drops of automatic transmission fluid should cure it.

I checked all the connections and used contact cleaner to be sure they are clean and dry inside. I found no moisture inside the cavity a little dust that I cleaned out. I will put it back together and give it a try. I did find two grey wires that are not connected one male and one female that come from the controller going nowhere that I can see. Does anyone know what they are for?
