Panniers for thick tubing?

I love my new Raleigh Retroglide. I want to use it for errands and especially grocery shopping, but I am having trouble finding good size panniers that will fit securely on the thick tubing of the welded-on rear cargo rack. Any ideas? I tri d the Linus roll up ones but the snaps are too short to go around the tubing.

The Orlieb panniers have inserts in the hangers that can be removed and do fit the robust square tubing racks on my Riese & Muller Nevo.

Orlieb bags fit up to a 16mm tube and comes with adapters for 8mm & 10mm tubing

I tie my panniers on with heavy twine. Yubabikes ones just have a single strap down the back that doesn't fasten to anything. I use the truckers #1 slip knot that I can untie in one second and flip the pannier down to adjust the brake or shifter. That knot involves a loop at one end, then wrap around the rack and through the hole, then a slip knot against the loop. The more the load pulls the tighter it gets.
I started using two tie-wraps but the weight of groceries would pull one back through the plastic clicker. Also It took a diag cutter to get them off.

Thank you!! I ordered some Ortleib panniers and the extended size clips today. I am surprised with the rise in popularity of e-bikes that the accessories are so slow to catch up. I am a Baby Boomer and for me, a ride makes more sense when I have a purpose--an errand. I am gradually moving into the idea of bikes for recreation tho! So panniers are kinda necessary

I bolted on aluminum rods on the vertical tubes of the rack to fit the panniers I already owned. Just 4 tiny holes to drill, it was very simple. Seems like you can get better pricing on traditional sized panniers as well.

Shopping for groceries, small items from the hardware store, packages to be mailed, a trip to the bike shop for a new accessory or buying clothing...panniers will help with all of the above as well.

@rich c - would like to see a picture of your setup, if you'd be so kind.
