I am a 55yo and out of shape. Well, I am in a shape; just not the one I'd like to be in.

I have these thoughts of using the eBike to replace a few car trips and get me more active. Get out on the local Rails to Trails options and get some exercise and get some fresh air.

After a couple months of research and taking a test drives, I pulled the trigger on a RadCity Step Thru 3 in black. Projection Is that it will ship in June.

Now I get to research accessories, but I will probably wait to do any upgrades until I have some time on the bike.

I will be picking up a rack so I won't have to keep pulling the front wheel off to pack in the back of my Prius. I'm having the bike delivered to a rental outfit that let me test drive for free. They get a stipend for my purchase, but having them do the initial setup lets me support them a bit more. They are 52 highway miles away, so I need a way to transport my new bike home. I sure like the look of the 1UP Single Super Duty or the Quickr Stuff version, but I am wary of how well the arms will hold the wheels with the fenders. And I'm not sure when either will be available. Any suggestions for a single or double rack for a step thru with fenders.

I got my RadCity yesterday. The derailleur needed a bit of adjustment. It was only two gears off. I pushed the chain off the gears a few times while adjusting it.

I went for a 13 mile ride this morning. Mostly PAS 1, but I did a little jaunt in all the levels. My battery is still showing 5 bars, but we all know how accurate they are.

Definitely need a better saddle, and I need a decent helmet.

I have a Rad Runner Plus step through. I have a Hollywood rack which is what Rad recommends for it's heavy ebikes. I like it. You have to get the crossbar adapter with a step through. Fenders don't matter.

I ended up with a Saris MTR 1. It is the same style as the Quickr stuff and 1UP, with the advantage of being available now. Lowering the contact points to reach just below the fenders on both sides will still hold the bike solid.
