Hi folks,

Just bought my first proper Electric Mountain Bike.

Earlier this year I bought a cheap eBay electric bike and thought it was fun. After riding it and loving it, I felt it was time for a better quality Electric Mountain Bike. I ending up with the Orbea Wild 20.

I bought it with 18miles on the Odometer and saved so much money. Everything on the bike was brand new.

I'll name some of specs that it has:

-Bosch CX motor

-Bosch 500 battery

-Fox 34 Float

-Shimano m506 hydraulic break

-Deore XT M8000

-Kenda Havok 27.5 plus tires

It has some other specs but these are the ones that mattered to me most.

I'm currently living in Omaha Nebraska and many people living here do not know about Electric Bikes yet. Hopefully these people see me riding this blue bike they will stop and ask me questions.

I bought this to attempt to commute to and from work. I'd do my best.

Nice looking bike ?. You will get tons of questions. 2 most common: cost & range. Pretty much everywhere I stop someone will express curiosity. I try to be honest and give pros and cons.

Yes, your right! I already get asked at work haha. I spent only 1600 dollars for the bike with a bosch cx with less than 18 miles on it. I’ll probably tell them the normal prices for these mid drive electric bikes.

That’s a great price and very low miles.
When I tell people prices I start high, $17,000 Haibike carbon (not sure they make it anymore), then the s works levo at 12,000, then tell them the majority are $1500 - $3500. Maybe not so different from over the top road bikes.

Theres a carbon hard 7 on haibikes website for around 3k

Honestly if you want at new ebike with Bosch motor you are looking at atlease 3k and up. 3.5k and up for a bosch cx motor.

You can find cheap chinese bike for as low as 500 bucks for a rear hub motor.

Most mid drives will be 2.5k and up at least what I see on the market and Courts videos. Mostly Yamaha and TranX motors.

When you want top of the line parts that is when you start paying 4-5k plus. Bosch or shimano.

My bike was originally 4k but I saved for buying a new last years model. Also neigotion skills help haha.

But 1600 dollars for the parts I mentioned is amazing. Bosch 500 battery and Bosch CX motor with intuvia alone is about 2k. Then add the fox 34 air fork $700 dollars shimano xt 500-600. The 27.5 plus tubeless tires around 150. I got a bargin haha. Also a 2 year warranty with Orbea since it was a new bike.
