No speed reading on computer, error code w011

Hi my bike is a orbea keram with Shimano steps motor. I have been using the badass bike dongle for over a year with no problems up until yesterday when my speedo was showing 0 and the motor cut out with the error code. I removed the dongle and replaced the original magnet and it still showed 0 km moving the magnet did nothing. Was wondering if the speed sensor has become damaged from the dongle or is just in need of replacement, any help would be very much appreciated.

I’d guess you fried the controller. It will be an interesting phone call since you were running a dongle.

Once dongle is slid off the sensor and original magnet put on wheel there is no way of telling the dongle was ever used! No wires have been tampered with

The bike has covered over 6000 km using the dongle so maybe the sensor has just worn out? It is in a shop having a new sensor put on

Except you posted the information that you did use a dongle to the general public on a public forum. Hard to prove you didn't do that now isn't it! Also add that manufacturers are adding software language that will detect a dongle now.

Just because I've posted on a public forum that doesn't mean a thing. If I was to put my bike serial number on here then maybe I'd be concerned! I doubt shimano are watching the forums lol My bike has not had latest update added which means I can still run a dongle without detection. Thanks for your input tho most helpful
