Hi, I am new to this forum as well as to the world of electric bikes :). I'm visiting my family's home in Canada. My cousin has bought a HappyRun G70, just 2 months. He asked me to take care of technical support and maintenance. Unfortunately that manufacturer doesn't have technical support for that model, here. Although I am retired, I am a mechanical engineer and I believe that I can help you, but it would be very useful for me to have the support that you can give me in this forum. A couple of weeks ago the rear brakes did not work due to lack of oil. for DYISLAND brand brake system oil.

HappyRun G70
I was working on a HappyRun last year when I got food poisoning from a Vietnamese place across the way and had the happy runs for a day. I am in the other CA and here these are not allowed at schools, in bike lanes, or on bike paths. They require a DOT approved helmet, a motorcycle licence, a licence plate, and insurance. Then they can go on roads but not highways. They are alright to use on private land but not in parks, or state, or federal land. Almost no one will work on them around here because of the liability and low quality. If spotted in public they get impounded and crushed.

Wow PedalUma, Seems like California has a “choke Hold” on everything. I am happy I am in Texas!

The CHP safety training course is very good, informative, and entertaining. We are a little ahead of the rest of the nation on this stuff. Click on the blue above. What happens is the illegal ones cause problems and then everyone gets painted with that same brush.
