New to e-bikes

I had knee replacement surgery in October and am now anxious to get back on my bike. I am thinking an electric bike might be a better choice than a road bike. I just turned 70, often ride in the Colorado mountains, and love riding hills. I have always owned Trek bicycles. I am thinking of buying a Trek ebike. Is this a good choice?
