Need a new charger - but the one on amazon has reverse polarity?

I am in the market for a new charger. I found one online that has the same female end - 48V charger. When I asked about using the charger with a GIO someone said that they had "reverse" polarity and it would blow my batteries. I checked my charger (the one that doesn't work) and it has the same + - as the one from amazon, so I am confused.

If you look at the pics from amazon, the second from the top (attached) and here is a pic of my charger (attached).
They look the same? But I am new to this, so there could be other factors I don't understand yet.
