Is the tektro 2-piston brakes and Biktrix standard inverted front fork good enough?

Hello everyone. I will be getting my ultra FS shortly and I ordered it with the base brakes and front fork inverted shock. Is this combo good enough for commuting and the odd off-road trail or should I do the upgrade? Thanks for you input

I’ve had my ultra 1000 HT with inverted fork and 2piston brakes for about six months now. This is my second bike with these brakes and im very happy with them. The inverted fork worked great at first but became very stiff and stopped working. I think oil leaked into air chamber causing them to get locked up. The good news is Biktrix sent a replacement right away, they are on the way and I will have it in next day or two. I’m really enjoying this bike!

and how are they working now?

I have a Biktrix fat bike (Ultra 1000) and no problem with the standard brakes.

I had the Biktrix people switch the front fork to rigid because the fat tires provide enough suspension for me; plus I prefer the handling and reliability of rigid forks; but I am not riding on very rough terrain.

I ride a lot off road and wouldn’t consider not having front suspension. Not fast or anything like that but, through hog rooting and over small logs and such. The tires help a lot but, not quite enough. I ride on the road too and can see where you don’t really need them. The inverted Biktrix shocks are pretty nice compared to other inexpensive ones. I did have an issue that I would like to think is rare and it was taken care of under warranty and all is good now.
