Inspection of bike before 1st ride

I am seriously considering either A: to have the bike assembled by a tech or B: having the bike at the very least be inspected after I put it together by a tech listed on Ride1Up's website. I came to these conclusions after reading about e-bikes in general on these forums. I am thinking the last thing I want is to have assembled a part that may have been damaged during shipping or manufacture that I dont notice that may cause me grief further down the line.

Do what you feel comfortable with. I assembled mine myself, but the nearest bike shop is 2 hours round trip and am not served by mobile bike service, either.

Put your big boy pants on and use the included allen wrench to assemble your ebike and ride it till it breaks....

Although not bike related, you'd probably not know I have been primarily servicing my own vehicles since the 90s. Thanks for your moral support. 🤣

My only area of concern is primarily gear related, in regards to derailleur adjustments and indexing etc.

Personally I love the Park Tool series on YouTube. They have good quality videos on every conceivable maintenance task. Most of these tasks are not that difficult if you have a laptop close by and can reference the video as you go. Things like derailleur and brake adjustment are par for the course, and worth the effort to learn. But of course you need to be willing to acknowledge your own limitations.
