Informal MTB motor failure rate poll

Out of idle curiosity I recently took a straw poll in my local eMTB Facebook group on motor reliability.

My SUMPRODUCT math might be a bit shaky but I average the failure rate across all the motor brands at 8.5%.

It was a small sample of about 65 votes, so I won't publish brand-specific failure rates out of fear/respect for our defamation laws.

Australia ...where both pmc AND THE SITE can face legal implications if a company gets their feeling hurt.....even if all he is doing is repeating facts.

Now, I can state facts about how many motors I have been through, others could do the same. But how do you interpret that information other than I get a lot of motors replaced under warranty? ( 1 yamaha and 2mahle) . Am I rough on motors? Overly fussy and have a great relationship with my lbs? All of the above?

For what it's worth, my lbs has suggested my next bike should have a bosch motor but I don't like how they feel
