Improving the Ridgerider

Overall, I really like my Ridgeline (even though Pedego had to replace my pedal sense module and motor at 550 km), but like almost anything it could be better.
If I could ask Pedego to make one change it would be to add a thumb button located by the hand grip to change the power levels.
Recently, while riding along a rough gravel road I came to a hill and wanted to increase the power level from 1 to 3. Because the road was full of potholes and loose gravel, the bike bounced around and I had a great deal of trouble locating the power level '+' button with my index finger.
Riding along a potholed gravel road with only one hand on the handlebars isn't fun, either.
Took me 3 tries.
What I'd really like to see is a plus/minus button located close the the left hand grip, so power level increases or decreases could be made without taking my hands off of the handlebars.

And Pedego, while you're at it, how about making this bike in more than one size?

Each change in power levels took at least two or three stabs at the up/down arrows.
This bike REALLY needs an up/down raised switch mounted close to tone of the handle bar grips.

I have stromer st1 but it has no throttle And when i need a quick burst of thrust to cross a street or handle quick ascends
I wish it had a throttle. Has anyone with ridge rider have experience with st1 and could you share your preferences of either bike and would you buy another ridge rider if you were in the market for a new ebike

Hi there , my friend has a bike like yours which I tried. Nice bike indeed but for myself I love my throttle and at times he wishes he had one too. I can take off faster then him and the ridge rider my bike is better on trails. I love my ridge rider and the excellent support from pedego.

I wouldn't buy an e-bike if it didn't have a throttle.
Recently, while riding along a gravel pathway I came across a section that was completely cover in snow/ice. Instead of getting off my Ridgerider and walking my bike across the icy surface I put both of my feet on the ground, using them as support skiis, and powered my way through the snow using my throttle.
Worked like a charm. I've also used this technique on sandy surfaces.
Having a throttle, when pulling away from a stop is also an asset. Sometimes I use my throttle to get me going and then start to pedal.
I've owned my Ridgerider about 10 months and so far I've put 1100 km on the odometer. If I had to replace it I'd probably buy another one. I love its dual capacity as a street and trail bike.
I'd probably have a lot more km on my Ridgerider if I didn't also have two carbon road bikes.
