Hi from New Hampshire

I am a 77 yr old woman with a lot of ...slow... biking experience. I got a Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 E-bike in Nov 2019 and now have about 2100 miles on it. I had originally thought that I could just go even slower up hills on my regular bike as I aged. This assumption fell apart when my speed on my regular bike needed to drop below 3 mph for survival; and this was coupled with the fact that my balance is not quite as good as it used to be. Using the e-bike means that every ride(!) in my somewhat hilly area need not be a training ride; and I don't need as much recovery time between rides! I am looking forward to gaining even more e-bike knowledge from this forum. Thanks, all!

Welcome to the site.
It is wonderful how electricity helps us manage our exercise routines. I ride unpowered about 20 miles 2 days a week on nice days, but used a lot of electricity yesterday when the wind was 25 mph gusting 36 in my face coming back from the bank & store, a 4 mile trip.

Welcome NH Senior-Gal, nice to have you. There is lots of help on this friendly and informative site from nice people. If the NH stands for New Hampshire, then I know being a New Englander (Mass) there are lots of hills and you can use all the help you can get. I’m 75 and I get out riding as much as I can and you will as well. Just having that assist makes riding a pleasure and it’s somewhat addictive. I will leave it there, and wish you good luck and make sure that you ride safe.

Be sure to check out the great Rail trials in NH. Great beautiful rides, and well they're are on old rail beds... so not many inclines to worry about, but a couple have been created to allow some crossings/tunnels in places.
