So is it cool or uncool to call my soon-to-be-mine Specialized Como 2.0 an ”ebike”? Need to learn the lingo!
My wife and I ordered two Comos. Hopefully we’ll have in a couple weeks.

Congrats on your new ebikes!
Expect lots of miles and smiles.

Yes, the term ebike is common.
Sometimes I use the term "pedal-assist." I'm surprise still at the amount of cyclists that still think all ebikes are throttle only with no pedaling required. So pedal-assist is more specific, pedaling is still required.

Expect to get curious questions. The most common I get are range and cost.

A lot of people will ask you how fast and how far it goes--especially the scooter/OneWheel crowd (of which I'm sure you'll meet many in Boston).

You picked a couple of easy riding, fun, powerful ebikes there. You will love them.

Have fun and enjoy your newfound mobility. In a dense city like Boston (I'm in SF) an ebike is really the best way to get around. It's not just avoiding traffic--it's being able to park everywhere and experiencing street life and neighborhoods you once drove through without a second thought. This lockdown has also made fresh air quite the commodity. Fresh air and fun are an ebike's only emissions.
