Hi, all - just got the Rad City step-through and am loving it. I live in Everett, WA - 30 miles north of Seattle. Cheers!

No experience at all but if it's rated to carry a dirt bike it most certainly would carry your bike.

Enjoy.

How is the bike kept upright on that rack without any vertical supports?

And, welcome to ebiking! :) We are glad you are here!

I got my wife a Radcity Step-Thru several months ago and she loves riding this ebike compared to my Radrover. Some folks have used motorcycle carrier instead of bike racks because of they come with ramps for easy load and waaaaay cheaper. I see everyone using ratchet tie down cargo straps to secure the ebikes. I can see that being a pain having to hold the ebike upright trying to strap it down at the same time alone.

I would check the tongue weight of the rack+ebike on the back of your Venza. It is usually 10% of the tow weight; but, it can be more sometimes (3500 lbs tow=350 lbs tongue). If your Venza hitch is only 1.25" and you need to add an extension to covert to 2" will extend the weight further out and lower the max tongue weight. Too much weight in the rear (to include cargo and passengers) will sometime raise the front end. That can effect headlights being too high and blinding on-coming traffic, handling, steering, and braking if you have too much weight is in the rear.
