So...I know there are a lot of you that really know the market and what's out there.
My wife and I are just in the process of buying ebikes to hopefully help us get back into riding and lose some weight. I've ridden bikes on and off a bit for years, but she - not so much. I just purchased my ebike, so I'm good.
We both have regular bikes, but she REALLY, REALLY struggles on even the smallest hill. Also...quite honestly, if there is very much struggle, I know she won't ride at all. The primary goal is to get her on the bike - period.
That being said....here are what I think is going to work for her.
Position: upright - upright/relaxed
Motor: Lots of pedal-assist/torque to help on hills (75 N-m or higher)
Speed: Not important at all.
Fork: Probably need a suspension fork to help with the "comfort" part.
Does anybody have any suggestions that might meet these requirements? Oh...and I really, really hate the idea of buying a bike that can't be test ridden, so hopefully in brands that we can find in a bike shop.
