Hi all. I'm a new e bike owner as of last week. I ride bike for fun and fitness and have been interested in these bikes since my wife bought a used Trek Hybrid with a hub motor two years ago to ride with me. Over the last two years, layoffs from riding due to injuries and aging in general have caused me to be more concerned about hill climbing and evading dogs along my route (I live in a rural county that does not require leashing or fencing dogs). So I became very interested in a bike that assisted climbing and quick accelerations.
After watching quite a few e bike reviews, many on this site, and reading lots of specs, I chose a Yamaha Urban Rush road bike. I've ridden it three times for a total of 50 miles in the last week after not riding outside in 18 months and it is everything I was hoping for. This e bike is getting back out on the road doing one of my favorite activities.
