Hello all, i wanted to better understand what i am getting into and using so wanted to ask, on numerous times, ive noticed that while using the pedal assist while in say snow or rain(some other times as well) so far that the e assist will just shut off for sometime. I want to know what exactly is happening that causes this and what steps i can take to protect or better adapt to it, like is it something with the sensor , or is it something affecting the batter inside etc.
Thank you and i will read the guides i can to better educate myself. What is happening is the assist will work then cut on and off.

I have found the cause is mostly the throttle sensor getting shorted out. I now wrap a grocery bag around the throttle when it is raining. Helps most of the time. PAS sensor is same technology but I have not found that to be the cause.
I have the controller under the seat with a drip loop of the wires pointed down, so that has not been affected.

If it's only (or mostly) happening in wet conditions, probably something is getting wet and shorting out. Next time it happens, look the bike over and look for wet electrical parts. If you find a wet connection, dry it out and see if it starts working again. Then think about how to seal it to keep water out.

Not all ebikes are designed to be ridden in wet conditions.
