Hey everyone. I am hoping to build my 2nd ebike pretty soon. I currently have a huffy nighthawk with a 1000w hub. It doesn't really shift gears, the tires are not quite true, front shocks don't work/stick and the front brake pulsates. It operates safely but just isn't a great experience to ride for very long. I look forward to reading a lot here on the forum and hearing from all of the members.

Welcome to the site.
My first conversion was a huffy savannah cruiser, and after some rides I decided disk brakes were a very useful accessory. It had 10 speeds 5 of which were too high for flat ground or uphill. Plus I wanted 24 speeds going down to 1:1 ratio, needed a small frame, and hate mountain bike handlebars and posture that come with those speeds. So I bought the yubabike left off the internet and added the front hubmotor.
