New guy here. I have been researching Ebikes more than I care to admit. I've been all over the place from a cheap bike to a conversion to an expensive Fezzari DS bike. I put the brakes on this weekend and bought an inexpensive starter bike. I'll ride it for a while until I figure out what I want to do next.

Looking forward to participating in this great forum.

Welcome the site.
Electric bikes are faster than wheel chairs, and can handle curbs & obstructions better. They haul groceries & supplies better too, with a basket or pannier (bag). I occasionally have painful knees due to twisting of no-cartlege Army survivors, and use the throttle a lot for a couple of weeks.
Read some of the security threads on parts and accessories section down at the bottom. Some of those threads in general section, too. If you go in a store, restaurant, or toilet room you want the bike to be there when you get back. My 1/2" 6' SS sling and various locks ( now improved) have kept my bike in my possession for 3 11/12 years. Even though I leave the bike outside groceries, dollar stores, farm stores, flea markets, & churches I attend and do volunteer work at.
