I posted a similar question a few days ago. (See thread titled Haibike AllMtn Plus vs FullSeven RX.) As it turns out, Court compared the Bosch and Yamaha motors in this video: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/courts-bosch-vs-yamaha-mid-drive-comparisons.3859/
Court did not like the Yamaha motor's tendency to cut assistance at high pedal cadence. This may not be a factor for you if, like me, your pedal cadence is slower.
My conclusion after test-riding a couple of Haibikes at the dealer, reading, and looking at videos: the Bosch is more refined, the Yamaha cheaper, both have comparable power, and both are probably equally reliable.
I ended going with the AllMtn Plus with the Yamaha motor, but the motor was not the deciding factor. The fatty 3-inch tires were!
Between the HardSeven and FullSeven I would choose the FullSeven. In an ebike full suspension is a substantial benefit due to the higher speeds—you feel the bumps more sharply at a higher speed. Full suspension increases stability and control over rough terrain. While the motor does not cancel the inherent inefficiency of a rear suspension—the rear wheel bobbing up and down causes the chain to alternate between tension and no tension—it minimizes it.
Others may have a different, equally valid, opinion.
Hi there , I think the cost of the haibike Hardseven SL is better and I also read that the Yamaha motor gives the battery a little longer distance.I posted a similar question a few days ago.
