Hello, all. Very happy to finally join the forum after lurking for a long time.

I originally got a Ghost e-bike from MEC about 5 years ago, and subsequently purchased RadCity bikes for my wife and daughters around the start of the pandemic. Court’s bike reviews really helped the decision making process at the time.

Lately I’ve been looking enviously at my family’s step through frames, so I’ve ordered a Benno Remidemi XL to replace my current ride. I’m anxiously awaiting delivery this weekend. Hopefully I can convince our dog to ride in the back, and we’ll be a complete e-bike family…
 
I had looked at several cargo-style bikes before deciding on the Benno Remidemi XL. I wanted something to be a "jack of all trades" bike that I could use for some commuting, family rides, grocery trips, etc. I was thinking about the Tern HSD at one point, but there was just something about the design of the Benno that appealed to me. Maybe it's the interesting design. I was a bit worried about the lack of a front suspension on the Benno, but I was quite impressed with the test ride. It was remarkably agile and comfortable. I'll try and post some more feedback once I pick up my bike. I purchased it from Bishop's Family Cycles. Great experience. Highly recommend.

My dog is about 15 lbs, so not too large. I'm getting the XXL trunk bag with the rear cage to use as a very large dog basket. Probably overkill for a dog his size, but there will lots of room to put his bed for padding.
 
I know someone who got a clear tote and used two tiedowns inside it so the dog couldn't jump out. The dog was little apprehensive at first but now loves it with ears flopping in the breeze. That is right about the bedding; you could start by putting the tote on the kitchen floor with the bedding and a bone inside before installing it on the bike. People here go for the Globe Haul over the bikes on your list but you didn't have that as an option.

Thank for the suggestion about the tote. I may give that a try.
 
Letting the dog hang out in the back of the bike. Just parked for now. Will try walking the bike around the block with him later this week . He seems pretty happy so far…😁
