Greetings from New England

Welcome! What do you like to ride? For sport or transportation? I do both. We often chip in to collaborate by helping people with problems and questions and you are in a good position to contribute with your knowledge base.
This is the electric bike I finished making today. It took three chains! The motor is between the pedals. Now it's back to converting a titanium hardtail MTB to a stealthy open source torque sensor mid-drive.

Hi everyone. I work in an LBS in Connecticut that both sells and services e-bikes. I know a considerable amount about Specialized bikes, but also have worked with, and ridden quite a few bikes from other brands as well, and hope to share knowledge here from my experiences.
Please tell me: Is a Specialized dealer allowed to adjust the wheel circumference for a Specialized e-bike on request?

Good question. I look forward to the answer. If I recall from training, dealers can adjust by 5%+- from factory settings in the software for tire changes, for example Winter tires. They cannot tell a bike running 700c x 40's it has 100cm circumference wheels.

It is a 2% change (51-622 tyres replaced by 47-622). That change made the speedometer indicating too high values, and too high distance ridden.

WOW ! Absolutely stunning bike. Just curious. Why did you choose the recumbent style design ?

Thanks,
John

Thanks. It is not mine. Fabricating the battery holder took much of a day. I made her wife's bike electric last week. They are elderly. The saddle is about 15 inches wide. The rider of the first one is over the moon about her rides for the past week. Now they can ride together. I need to wire in the battery of the Ti and put on the 10-sp eChain. Then a little programing to hypnotize it into thinking that it that it has 100cm circumference wheels limited at 45Kph. It is like telling someone they are a chicken. Then it will be ready. I have been goofing off today, eating duck and listening to live jazz instead of working. The battery looks like a water bottle and sits in the black cage. Now its time to plug in the soldering iron.
Update Edit: It is out the door. The owner, a Law Enforcement Officer is super happy. If he is pulled over, they will want one too.
