Fitting Coil Shock to AllMtn 2.0 with PW-X motor

On the AllMtn 2.0 models with external batteries and PW-X motors, the frame wraps around the bottom half of the rear shock. I measured the diameter and it starts at 56mm and goes down to 52mm. The Coil shock I want to put on the bike is 52mm wide and am hoping i can install it upside maybe or maybe find a way to widen the frame 1-2mm if needed. Anyone have any experience fitting a coil to this model? It's so close to working!!!

No idea why you would want to put a coil shock on. I consider them inferior to air. Aluminum doesn't like to be bent, especially around welds. Don't try and spread the frame.

I primarily ride enduro. Look at all the Enduro racers out there and how many ride coil suspension. If you look into it there are a lot of things it does that air cannot

I'm a single trail rider, not enduro. I wouldn't have guessed there isn't that much of a difference.

ya it has changed a lot the last few years. Small bump sensitivity has always been where air could never match coil. but the linear travel, climbing effeciency, and bottoming out too easily was coils biggest down falls. Progressive springs for forks and coil shocks have been game changing so you get best of both worlds. For most people air is definitely the better option + air has far more adjustability. Small bump sensitivity is huge for me on aggressive DH tracks especially

I want small bump plushness - so I want to do the same thing. What coil shock and length are you thinking of using? Have you tried it yet?
