It's interesting how difficult it is for Pedego to actually service its large dealer network. It's confusing that Lectric, which sells a lot of ebikes, has been 'in stock'. But that may be because their ebikes are basic. So the more you drift up the parts scale, the harder it is to find the parts. Or chips. The thing that is unclear to me is that there are so many 'pure' Chinese ebikes these days, mostly fairly basic. So who is getting parts made in China, Pedego or the dozen or so Chinese companies that show up in my apps every day? To me, this is the dark unseen side of using Chinese factories. Eventually they just directly enter the markets. Pedego never says they will make parts in the US. Pedego is really locked into cheap labor. But now they can't get the parts. Every day the tensions between the US and China worsen. I read the South China Morning Post and it really seems things are slipping away.
