"Cyclists who aren't crazy about the modern stylings of some electric bikes will be heartened to see this classic-looking, electric cruiser. Fashioned with a bit more conservative but still urban-worthy aesthetic, the Vela electric bike is made with practicality and comfort in mind. First successfully launched in Brazil in 2014, the Vela team is now seeking crowdfunding to bring it over to North America."

Lookout everyone, there's that CF word again!

Hadn't that been posted before? I swear I already saw that on here somewhere! Seems a nice bike in comparison to the Faraday especially when cost is considered. of course you won't get support, or business liability insurance, or...x, or y, or z with it...

I think a photo and the name was mentioned somewhere too, but this article is new and if the Velo isn't posted in "Other Brands" it isn't here;)

I like the battery and power better than Faraday.

YEP. It's amazing how comfortable these narrow seats become after you're put some miles on them. Not that they break in but because you realize that the narrower it is the less contact with the moving parts and the less weight of the body falls on them.

Looks like the same motor and battery as the Storm with some overpriced chrome moly frame and brooks seat.. I guess if you put the expensive seat on it, all the electrical components just work better!

Wonder how many men ad women they will fool this time?
