Error Code 25

This error code is caused by the brake sensor failure.

I was attempting to close the gap between the handle bar and the brake lever. Based on research of the Tektro brake lever turning the nut #1 counter clockwise is supposed to move the lever closer to the handle grips. It did move the handle very slightly but then trying to move it back had no effect. Now I was getting Error Code 25 so I do more research and learn that the magnet sensor needs to be adjusted . The screw that should move the magnet away from the sensor is the 2mm screw #3. That's didn't eliminate the error code.

What DOES cause the error code to clear is pushing the lever slightly away from the grips. I thought that by doing that the little switch at #2 is triggered causing the code to clear but that's not the case. If I push that little switch with a blade, it has no effect on clearing the code.

I'm stuck. What needs to be done to clear the err 25 code?

So I've reached out to Wallke support and they have responded by asking for a video of the problem. This is what I sent them:

SOLVED: The brake sensor was not being depressed making the bike think that the brake was always on. Dead man's switch. Wallke support was great!

If this problem occurs while on the road, just unplug the sensor at #1 below. Brake will work but will not disengage the motor. Use the other brake.

The gap at #2 was too large so the handle was not compressing the sensor. The nut at #3 is a locknut. Loosen for a couple of turns. Then, INSIDE this locknut is the 2mm hex screw. Turning this hex will now increase/decrease the gap at #2. Here is the video provided by Wallke support.

An ebike Error 25 message is code for Brake Abnormality. It's more likely your brake is being pressed.
