I've brought a number of electric bikes over the years but I've recently come across Electric Bike Conversions who supply do it yourself bike kits. I've had a go with a mid drive and a 500w rear wheel kit (should have gone with front as it would have been a lot easier to fit).
I'm not sure if many others have spoken or dealt with these. I have been highly impressed. They were very helpful before I ordered. My rear wheel kit even came with a fitting video on a USB (very helpful). The kit was delivered to me on a Saturday (they offer next day delivery, this includes Saturday delivery if ordered on a Friday). I had to call them on the Monday as they did forgot to put in a torque plate that they mention. They were very apologetic and sent it out again next day.
I've since come across them on eBay as well and they seem to be selling in some big numbers. From my experience I was highly impressed and would recommend them to anyone.
