Electra Bikes + Conversion kits

I am thinking of getting an Electra bike and putting an 8Fun 750w 48v kit on it. I am worried about their design not helping with the matter with a lot of curves making it hard to install the battery on the frame or even the midyear motor being incompatible. Any thoughts? How can I double check? Anyone here has done it before?

FWIW......I think you are right to have some concerns, straight tubes will be much easier. Also, with the Bafang mid-drive you probably don't want any control cables routed under the bottom bracket. IMO, find a bike that runs the rear derailer and rear brake cable on top of the top tube and down the seat stays, less hassle.

I'm also interested in knowing this. I have a Straight 8, which has the same frame as the second one above, that I'd like to convert with a Bafang BBS02 kit.

There's actually lots of room to put a battery there, but no cupholder mounts so it has to be with clamps. I'm also thinking that the 8fun motor might go inside the frame instead of in front of it. There's plenty of space. But first I'm going to replace the front mechanical disc brake with a TR HY/RD hybrid mechanical-hydraulic one to get some stopping power, seeing that a mid-drive kit will render the coaster brake useless.
