Eclipse lost power

My new Eclipse 380, less than 25 miles on it, lost power this past Saturday about halfway through a 5 mile ride. I was pedaling on a paved bike path and the power cut off. I tried turning it back on and it would boot up the display, gave a single beep, then go through a shutdown, so it had power to the control and the display. I tried it multiple times, same result. The Bosch Flow app just showed it was not connected. Charge on the battery at the time the power cut was 62%. Biatch to pedal back home for this 71 yo.

The bike shop from which I purchased it advised I bring it in, but it's a 2 1/2 hour round trip so I am dragging my feet. Monday I tried turning the bike on and it powered up normally. The Flow app showed an alert, it said the battery had been removed during the last ride. It powered down just fine, too. I've tried it every morning and evening since then and it powers up and down normally. The app connects right away, no issues at all. There was a software update waiting for it and I installed that in case it was a bug fix.

Now I don't trust it on a long ride. I wonder, given the alert, if somehow the battery lost connection. I plan to remove the battery, maybe pop it on the charger, and reinsert it to make sure it is seated into the contacts. I assume I remove the four hex bolts and it will be fairly obvious where to go after that, can't find it in the downloaded manuals. Any idea what torque to put on those four bolts when I reassemble it?
