eBike friendly homeowners insurance?

Hi all,

Wondering if anybody has experience with filing a claim for theft of an eBike, whether at home or away on a trail, through your homeowners insurance. What company do you use, and how were they in handling the claim? How did it affect your premium?

I have not had this happen to me. I have helped others. Filing a police report with serial numbers is the first step. The thief likely does not have a charger and will be looking for one by a day or two. I have had people looking for a specific charger. Only just bought our bikes so no experience with claims, but here in Canada I have Co-Operators home insurance and was pleasantly surprised to find ebike insurance already specified and included in my policy as part of the standard home owners premium.
