It will be interesting to watch how successful this is and how it will be perceived by the general public … nuisance or amenity. I suspect it will increase the sales and presence of e-bikes on the local streets and trails. It is an inexpensive way for someone to try an e-bike to help them decide if e-biking is an activity they want to get involved with. And as we in this forum know, it is easy to get "hooked" when you have an opportunity to try an e-bike. We have two local bike shops that sell e-bikes, and I bet they are happy to see this.
