Does an Ebike conversion void a frame warranty?

I was planning to buy a new Giant Cypress 2 (2022 model) with the goal of someday converting it to an e-bike. But would doing so good the lifetime frame warranty?

I must say… the exclusions section of the Giant warranty don’t have me hopeful:
  1. Exclusions. THE ABOVE WARRANTY, OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, DOES NOT COVER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF THE BICYCLE IS MODIFIED FROM ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION OR THE BICYCLE IS USED FOR OTHER THAN NORMAL ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FAILING TO FOLLOW THE OWNER’S MANUAL OR USING THE BICYCLE FOR COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES OR IN COMPETITIVE EVENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BICYCLE RACING, BICYCLE MOTORCROSS RACING, STUNT RIDING, RAMP JUMPING OR SIMILAR ACTIVITIES, AND TRAINING FOR SUCH ACTIVITIES OR EVENTS. GIANT MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Except to the extent specifically prohibited by law, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THAT OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE.

"ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF THE BICYCLE IS MODIFIED "
That particular line is so strange to me because my immediate first move after buying the Cypress is going to be to put a more curved handlebar on it— and that’s a modification.

Like don’t people modify their bike every time they take it into a shop?

Ugh.

Things the lawyers make them say, I guess. They can always honor the warranty if they want to, but the language is there if they need to dishonor a claim.
