I have admired Paul's work for years. He has been teaching a frame building class at University of the Fraser Valley for the last 10yrs. As he can't teach in class room he has graciously opened up his shop, of wonder I might add, to all via a You tube channel that he is helping finish off a Bosch motor/2 PT battery for one of his students.

Takes awhile to go through this but I would consider it to be the ultimate DIY experience you will see on the forum. Don't get too distracted by the moto's and memorabilia hanging about!

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed watching it.

Thats one heck of a downtube!!

Definitely recommend watching all 3 parts of the series.

That was fantastic!
Thanks for sharing, Bob. Paul is a very respected figure in the industry and this video highlights what a master craftsman can do.
Fascinating that he was helping student build a Bosch E-MTB with dual battery design!

It is very hard to find people with this level of knowledge and experience.

In this day and age of cookie cutter cycles made in factories it is nice to see that the art of framebuilding is still around. I've had the good fortune to know a few framebuilders over the years but the level of craftsmanship that Paul has achieved with not only his bicycles like this retro Whippet build

but moto's such as this Excelsior

to my mind put him up there with the best of them. It is very gracious of him to have taken the time and energy to pass his knowledge along to the lucky ones that have been able to attend his courses there in BC assuring the art will carry on.
