After a poor experience with a VanMoof S3 (eshifter problems) I got a full refund. I then went for a more traditional ebike and bought a Cube Hybrid Pro 500. This has proved to be a great choice. Its well made, comfortable and easy to use and ride. I live in the beautiful Breacon Beacons in Wales. So my rides are mainly hilly. I mostly ride on tarmac or bumpy narrow back lanes or tracks. Im 70 plus so its all pleasure riding for me. The Cube is perfect with the Bosch motor and intuvia system giving me all the help and assistence I require to tackle the most challenging hills and terrain and still get enough exercise. The 500watt battery pack gives me a realistic range in the level 2 tour mode of 50 to 60 miles. More than Ill ever need or use probably. Though Ive no worries it would get me home even with no power left as it performs well with the ten gears and no drag. I often manage around 20 mph on the flat with no help from the motor. Im also impressed with how dry it keeps me when ploughing through the wet and partly flooded roads round here recently. At £2299 its great value for money. Fully kitted out with lights and a sturdy back pannier rack. Great disc brakes for those wet and snaky downhill descents. Sprung seat post and adjustable front forkss. Easy to get your perfect riding position.
