"Chinese New Year festival period lasts for 16 days, starting from Chinese New Year's eve to the Lantern Festival. In 2021, it is from February 11 to February 26th."
When people say Chinese new year is holding things up, I thought it applied to January not February. I see posts from December to February saying Chinese new year shutters factories but what dates are they actually closed ?
Some say a whole month to allow the workers travel time to go home and come back. How long are the factories offline, and exactly when?
Edit: I see that it changes every year and it can start sometimes in January, it's not fixed like our News Years Day and holiday period.
