Charlotte’s Tandems/Ability Cycling

Charlotte’s Tandems is a cycling charity started in the UK (http://charlottestandems.weebly.com/) that lends out tandems and trailer cycles for free to riders with disabilities or special needs. They started a US branch that has since renamed to Ability Cycling, that currently operates in the Washington, DC/MD/Northern VA region, Tidewater, VA, Atlanta, GA, and Morgantown, WA. We have borrowed from both the US and UK branches and it’s a great way to try out different equipment. Our Burley Piccolo arrived fitted with pedal shorteners/extenders as the previous borrower was a 4 year old, the volunteer kindly set up the special Burley rack on my ebike. Highly recommended, and a good cause to support.
