Thanks. Good to know but I'll have the shop do it when they replace the chain, as part of the tune up service they partially completed.

ya its a bit of a pain it takes some real leverage to to take the chainring nut off and put back on.

its not something you would do every often. me I anted the plastic gaurd off because when the chain came off you could hardly get the chain back on. then I wanted a smaller chain ring. but so far I have not worn out the first chainring I bought.
