Cargo Line on 380+

My 2022 380 + has a Cargo Line motor.

Is this normal?

I would be surprised if a shop sold you a C380+ Class 3 bike with a Class 1 Cargo motor, does the motor go faster than 20mph? I recommend you check with Gazelle customer service by giving them the serial number on your bike so they can check their records. Once a few years ago I saw a batch of new Gazelle Arroyo bikes delivered to a shop with the wrong Bosch plastic motor cover due to an order mix-up. Alternatively the Gazelle factory, like all brands, has suffered from supply chain disruption and may have been assembling some 2022 bikes with motors they had on hand, but a Bosch Cargo motor would be suitable for the Class 1 C380 not the plus model.

The motor supports me up to 28 mph but I have to work very hard to get there.

thats typical it takes at least 200 or more watts on your part to get to that speed.

My LBS hooked the motor up to his computer and it reads the motor as a performance line speed.

someone was asleep when they put that cover on. good news is you could buy the cover replace it yourself if you wanted.
