Looks like the CAN puzzle has been solved thanks to this enterprising gentleman. At least if it works as advertised. Less than $150 usd seems like a fair price also. He is handmaking them so get your order in soon!

Step in the right direction but I wouldn't say CANbus is cracked to the level UART was for programming full parameters. This is mostly pulling motor stats

Maybe I'm missing something, but this looks to have pretty limited capabilities? A step in the right direction for sure, congrats on that, but unless you have an issue with how you max speed is set, or wheel size/circumference, I think maybe we're still waiting. That's me though....
